Historically, all Jetpack libs are in androidx.* packages and they're hard to perceive outside the Android context.
For Google to show the seriousness of their intentions with KMP, ideally they need to rename all this.
And we've been through this before. Jetifier hasn't been removed from all projects yet, and it's been 6 years already. Imagine the same thing, but on modern scales. How not to break and worsen life for the whole community now? I think there's no way.
What an illustrative example for us all of how difficult naming is. Well, what initially prevented them from calling the package abstractly, for example jetpack.*. They probably thought that the Android brand would last longer with them than the Jetpack brand. But life is unpredictable, it turns out. 😌
