Life Doesn't Stand Still (Updates)

I love updates. Here you are - a simple worker, after a hard working day you crawl onto the couch, want to watch some stream. You turn on your Android TV, launch the Twitch app. The interface has updated a bit. You start to sense adventures. Apparently some update arrived that installed itself without asking you. You launch the first stream that comes up, you're greeted with lagging video that flashes a black screen once every second or two. And this doesn't go away, quality selection and time - don't help. Beautiful.

Just yesterday everything was normal, yesterday only the interface lagged, that's tolerable. Video streaming is your main task, Twitch! How can you update like this if you're a company of this size?

Having gone through several Reddit threads where people posted the same problems in the last week, I learned that unofficial Twitch clients for Android TV exist like https://github.com/S0und/S0undTV. And you know what? It works just perfectly. Shows higher quality than the official client. And not just doesn't lag - it flies.
