One of the things I can't understand is why people boast about not knowing something or that they haven't done something.
You know these classic ones: "Haven't watched a single episode of Game of Thrones", "Haven't heard a single song by Morgenshtern", "Never solved LeetCode problems", "Never wrote tests and live fine", "Don't know how GC works in Java and I don't need to", "Haven't read Pasternak but I condemn".
It seems that there's not a single situation in which you, possessing less experience or knowledge about any subject area, are cooler than those who possess them. No matter how mainstream or how niche and incomprehensible the topic is. No matter what effort obtaining this knowledge costs.
Any ignorance should motivate to eliminate it, make yourself better, including diversely. Well, or you can act wisely - stay silent. Ignorance doesn't make you better than others. Ignorance doesn't make you better than yourself. Obvious things, it seems.
